My name is Cathy!
I am a believer, a wife, and a mom of two wonderful kids. My chocolate lab's name is Bear (check me out on Instagram @bearswatergirl).
Photography is fun for me because I think visually; the picture above is from a photo shoot in India and is one of my favorite pix. Besides making pictures, I love design, drawing and painting. I'm a leftie, and come from a family of artists including my maternal grandfather who was an inventor, and my paternal grandfather who was an orchestral musician like my mother.
In addition to all types of photography, I teach art + photography at various camps in the summer. My B.A. is in Photojournalism (the art of storytelling through photos) from Western Kentucky University. My husband and brother-in-law are also photographers, and both received a B.A. from WKU as well.
I try to always...
1. Photograph safely + treat all people with respect.
2. Encourage a relaxed + comfortable atmosphere the entire photo session.
3. Communicate with clients in a timely fashion.
4. Create blog posts for clothing styling tips + more!
5. Collaborate with you to help tell your story.
